Accessibility Statement

At Breda, we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to provide an inclusive and usable website for all visitors, regardless of ability or technology.

Compliance Status

At Breda, we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to provide an inclusive and usable website for all visitors, regardless of ability or technology.

Accessibility Technology & Monitoring

The Breda website is designed and maintained to conform as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.

We consider WCAG 2.2 AA to be the appropriate benchmark for digital accessibility and use it as the primary standard for evaluating and remediating our website.

Accessibility Features

In addition to accessible design and development practices, Breda utilizes multiple tools and technologies to support and maintain accessibility, including:

  • axe DevTools
  • WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool
  • accessiBe Accessibility Interface & AI Remediation Engine

accessiBe provides an AI-powered background process that scans on a 24 hour basis and remediates on a session basis. It also provides an on-demand accessibility interface that allows users to customize the site’s appearance and interaction to meet their individual needs.

Accessibility is not a one-time project for us — it is an ongoing effort. We regularly test, audit, and update the site to identify and resolve potential barriers.

Ongoing Remediation & Continuous Improvement

To support accessible browsing, the Breda website includes, but is not limited to, the following features:

  • Text alternatives (alt text) for images and non-text content.
  • ARIA labels and roles where visible text is not sufficient.
  • Logical heading structure and readable navigation order.
  • Keyboard operability for all interactive elements.
  • Screen-reader compatibility with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
  • An accessibility interface (via accessiBe) that allows users to:
    • Adjust font size, spacing, and alignment
    • Change color contrast and display modes
    • Stop animations and motion effects
    • Highlight content and improve focus visibility

Breda is actively engaged in:

  • 24 hour session based automated monitoring via access
  • Widget Monthly audits using the WAVE Evaluation Tool
  • Manual review of templates, navigation, and key user flows
