About the Artist
Aadil Abedi is a British artist and creative director whose work blends the beauty of calligraphy with emotion and storytelling. Drawing from his Muslim and Indian roots, he creates bold, contemporary pieces that explore language, identity, and the connection between the spiritual and everyday. His art lives somewhere between word and image, inviting you to pause, look closer, and feel something deeper.
About the Collaboration
For this collaboration with BREDA, Aadil created a piece inspired by verses 1–5 of Surah Al-Adiyat, which speak to the power, speed, and loyalty of warhorses. Through sweeping lines and layered calligraphy, the artwork captures that sense of movement - or of time - racing forward with purpose. We’ve included it as a limited-edition postcard, a small gift from us to you as a reminder to move with intention and hold space for meaning along the way. Untitled (Surah Al-Adiyat) by Abedi serves as a visual meditation on movement and meaning. “So many elements of life will force us to charge ahead,” he says, “but we must remember to pause and to remember to whom we submit and for what purpose.”
