Hi Friends,

The 'Locale' concept began by evaluating the return to my own hometown after time had passed and growth took place. I was struck by the many sensations of revisiting the place I grew up in—where my child self used to live. This is a place that many firsts, down to where the notion of existence settled in.

This particular reflection of time is a unique one. Where stepping into the past magnifies the present moment more than ever. It lenses the sense of observing something familiar while learning to visualize it in a new way. The 'Locale' Collection intends to cohesively capture the sense of sophistication that comes from growth and the youthful spirit you find in reflecting on the past.

For this campaign I wanted the set to reflect the act of revisiting a childhood home. We used a friend of mines home to shoot the campaign — she was getting ready to move out so it worked perfectly for all of the shots I had in mind. Mostly vacant, with only a few key pieces left to be seen. It’s a beautiful mid century home tucked away in a hilly neighborhood of Dallas, covered with trees and green. There’s a sense of magic, history and timelessness there that I fell in love with the moment I stepped onto the property.

Every image or bit of film captured is focused on the idea of home and the personal relationships we have with time and place. Exploring self acceptance and self understanding under the scope of raw reflection — looking directly at what has built a person and exactly who they are now in pure form.
